Nstreme help...

How do I make NStreme work over WDS bridging? I have tried one set to bridge and one set to station wds.. the one side will connect and show the WDS but the other does not so neither can ping.

Using RouterOS 2.8.24

ALSO I’m beating my head against the wall trying to configure an Nstreme2 so I can get familiar with how it works in a test enviroment. Only problem is I can’t figure out how the heck to set this up in Winbox. Got two radios installed but I see no where to say this radio is receive only this one is transmit only. As well as HOW do I bridge them together? NStreme1 doesn’t work with WDS that I can see so how would I get NStreme2 to work?

To create a full duplex do I have to use Nstreme2 or is their another way? Secondly I see you can set the antenna a or b to tx or rx only so doing that could you do a full duplex solution using just a single radio on each side? And if so how?

I just went through this setting up a pair of boards in a test bed for nstreme2. Start with the pair of wireless interfaces exactly as they first default to, set the mode to “nstreme dual slave” and then don’t touch them again.

Now, from the Interface List display, create an “Nstreme Dual” interface. This is where you configure the tx/rx radios and the other stuff. For a pair of boards, remember that the tx/rx freq is reversed between one and the other.

For my purposes I then created a bridge and bridged the nstreme interface to the ethernet interface and assigned an IP address to the bridge.
