Nstreme question: what latency at long range?

Hi all,

Can those who have put in real-life Nstreme links at long range (20 - 50 miles) indicate what latency (msec) you are seeing on the links?
We have a possible customer who is asking.

AFAIK it will depend on CPU speed, modulation rate/setting, and Frame size. We have the short-range (<10km) results of course, but it’s the long ones that matter here.

Would be great to hear some real-life results.

We have 50’s km shot of Nstreme 1 and 72’s km shot of Nstreme 2.

We usually see : 3-4 ms of 50 kms shot
: 4-5 ms of 72 kms shot.

40kms here, single nstreame 3 -6 ms

hmm, -through- the wireless routers i usually get around 1 ms or less.

Forgot to mention was on 2.4
with 5.8 2-3 ms over 30kms

~17miles 1-2ms latency.

5.8Ghz w/ two Radio waves 2’ dishes and SR5s.

3-5ms 64 bytes, 9-11ms 1400 bytes, “half-duplex” nstreme w/exact fit, 3600 byte maximum frame size, polling, RB-230 talking to RB-532, AR5213 5.8ghz/5mhz, 49km. There’s only a single client on this link but we find polling significantly reduces jitter while adding negligible (1ms?) latency for a net win in our situation.
