I’ve been playing with Nstreme on the bench with two 230 Routerboards and the Atheros a/b radios in “a” mode.

Best I’ve been able to achieve in terms of throughput is 24Mbps, with the connect rates at 54Mbps, and this is without Nstreme enabled. Enable Nstreme and that drops to 20Mbps.

I’ve been trying to setup PtP, as these radios are destined to (try) be either side of a 5.8 backhaul. I’m assuming that bridge mode is required on one, and station mode is required on the other to achieve PtP? It works, but not much better than AP<->station.

Test using the RouterBOARD depend on if you use the bandwidth tester running on the router and such. Generally we have higher speeds than 802.11 can do, so when Nstreme is released we will make some test plans with comparisons.

For your link, you should put both units in ‘bridge’ and then enable wds on both sides.
