Hello
I have made the configuration in my computer - that it will work as a ntp server
as written here:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/ffb1df0b-7c6e-4b2d-8fdf-b4ca0c014266/configuring-windows-7-as-an-ntp-server?forum=winserverPN
the IP of the computer is 10.0.0.61
the configuration in the router is -
/system ntp client
set enabled=yes primary-ntp=10.0.0.61
anyone ever done this ?
I think my problem is in the windows - but how can I see what is the problem?
Thanks,
why you want your pc as ntp server?
usually it’s better to set up ntp client with global ntp server addresses, e.g:
system ntp client set mode=unicast primary-ntp=193.204.114.232
secondary-ntp=193.204.114.233 enabled=yes

You can check in the /ip firewall connections to see if port 123udp is active when router tries to get the time.
Also disable windows firewall or add port exemption.
my router isn’t connected to the internet - this is why I need to use my computer as NTP server
this is what I did
remove the firewall - saw it’s working and them open the port
Thanks ,

Antivirus sometimes automatically enables firewall on windows.
You should add exemption for that port
