NTP Client setup on bridge wireless router

Hi Experts,

I have setup a Hotspot on my rb750 on interface 5. I have configured a rb411 with wireless with a bridge of the wlan and the interface to be able to pass on network packets.

I have setup ntp client on the rb750 and is able to obtain the correct date time. How do i setup the rb411 to sync the date and time with the rb750? The rb411 has no ip address.

The NTP client requires that an IP address be present.

ok…

so what I am going to do is setup two vlans for HS and for admin which there will be an internal IP address assigned.

This is what I have configured, but I am still unable to get the communication between vlan10 between 192.168.88.11 to any other in that same subnet.

RB750
E5 Vlan10,20

vlan 10 (192.168.88.10/24)

RB411
E3 Vlan 10,20

Bridge1 (E3, Wlan)

vlan 10 (192.168.88.11/24)

any ideas on where my config is failing?

hi wilburt i dont know if you have solved your problem either way i thought i would give a whack at trying to help :smiley:

i had a very similar problem with my NTP thingy and managed to fix it up by simply google my country and NTP servers and using two of those in the NTP client section

System → NTP Client

Enabled [Y]
Mode: unicast
Primary NTP: ntp.is.co.za
Secondary NTP: ntp2.is.co.za

I did that and blam it put in the ip’s for it and has been working since. Hope it helps :smiley:
