have you ever tried ntp server to work with windows client? i’m using mikrotik routerboard rb450g with routeros 3.30. i’ve set the ntp client to ntp.ubuntu.com and time.windows.com and it synchronized the mikrotik very well. i’ve also set ntp server by just enabling the enable only without any multicast, broadcast, and many cast.
i tried it on linux pc and it worked, but to no joy with windows pc. is there any work around on this to get the windows pc sync with mikrotik ntp server?
I’ve the same problem. After the postinstall the mikrotik NTP-server ist running.
But I can’t syncronize with an windows 7 client with the mikrotik NTP-server. What options shut I use? Have any a idea?
There are strange problems with the Windows NTP client. I have seen this problem in other environments
where a standard Linux NTP server is to provide time to Windows clients. Sometimes it just won’t work.
