ntp server package loses client functionality

I had my ntp client on ROS 6.35.4 set up using server-dns-names with multiple *.uk.pool.ntp.org entries, as I have always done on other systems.

Then I found out that I needed to install the ntp package to get server functions for the rest of my network, so I did.

My client config was lost and there is no longer a way to enter server-dns-names that I can see; just single IP addresses.

Am I missing something, or have I just lost some client functionality to get server functions?

ETA: I’ve also lost all the useful information that was displayed under system/sntp in WebFig.

The ntp package provides limited client functionality, as compared to SNTP client (which becomes unavailable as soon as you install and enable the ntp package). This is a known issue. Improvements have never been promised.

Thank you for the confirmation.

It’s a shame we can’t keep the sntp client - seems odd to have to take a backwards step that way to get the server. Not a killer though.
