NTP won't synchronized

Hello ,
starnge problem
I have internet connection in the router
I enter “0.pool.ntp.org” in the ntp server - but it doesn’t give me the time
any idea why?
(using V6.32.2 and also 6.34.2)

Can you ping that url? Can your Mikrotik ping it?

IMHO you have bad DNS name for NTP server.

It should be like N.PL.pool.ntp.org where PL is the country name … PL is for Poland.

No, that is no longer required.
When the pool started, the country code was sort of required because it would enable the pool
to give you servers that are “close” to you.
But later, a GEO-IP service was added to the DNS service for pool.ntp.org and now it will give you
close servers without having to specify the country code.
(of course there can be occasional mistakes due to incorrect data in the GEO-IP database)

I don’t hink I have the wrong DNS
because when I take the same sim with another router
I can get the DNS

if you are using client from the NTP package - try upgrading to the 6.35.2

but how could it be that in some routers it working and in some doesn’t work?
(same ROS & Setting & SIM )?

there were some issues with the NTP client from the ntp package that we resolved. For example, NTP client hanging with started on reached state. Also, always check if NTP server you are using actually is responding.
