Where are the successtories ptmp with the
improved nv2?
Did not have time to test but I am eager to
hear it will give a boost to our network.

Anyone know release date for 5.9?
My first impressions are:
WORKING ENVIROMENT 20 MHz channel:
LAB ENVIROMENT 20 MHz channel:
Actually we are using ROS 5.9 NV2 on one site with less than 20 clients.

Does it perform better than nstreme/802.11 with interference?

We are new on the wisp business so we started directly with NV2 on PtMP some months ago, I have no experience with NSTREME/802.11 in noisy enviroment.
For my little wireless experience MIMO+NV2 is the best solution for PtMP in all scenarios.

Done some tests in lab now which gives me the same results.
It does behave much better than with my latest tests in 5.7. Reproducable results with nearby
interference. Constant rates and latency when doing bandwidth tests. No crash so far on any
of the tested boards (RB600, RB500, RB411AH). Every test shows same or better results than
802.11/nstreme.
Only bad thing is that old Rb133c3 are underpowered for 5.9. Lagging, hanging, need powercycle, …
These old boards work much better with 5.6.
So great work MT! Will do live tests soon.
11km link with groove+offset, 95mbps TCP (before 75mbps), signal -49(before -51 )
really excited about this, can anyone tell if the latency is also lowered? I use Mikrotik for all my PtP’s, and I really miss that ultra-low latency Nstreme had.
any other info on NV2 improvements with 5.9? looks like they fixed the signal issue, I always loose 3-4db when going from Nstreme to NV2
I see 5ms average. I do not see a signal drop. Tested now on my first outdoor sector with only 2 CPEs.
Looks great! I see 40MBit UDP on 11a/20 MHz and up to 50Mbit on 11n/20MHz/Singlepol.
While pushing 46MBit/s UDP to one of the 2 CPEs the other CPE stays below 20ms ping. This sector is on
a loaded tower (5 Sectors in 5.6, 2 PTP in 5.
.
TCP-Tests show 32.3MBit/s but looks like CPU is maxing out on my core RB1000s.
Every test reproducable, no crash, no hassle.
I’ve to upgrade my uplink capacities to carry the traffic ![]()
I have 2 links in bonding with SXT, but after upgrade there was no diference. Still 340mbps. I hopped for 400mbps ![]()
changing to nv2 on ptp, latencies went from 2,5 ms above 7ms

how did u do that
I mean did u connect 2 SXT ether in MT Switch and bonded 2 ether ports on switch?
