Just curious if you guys have gotten anywhere with the NV2 timing disconnects? I sent a reply on my Ticket#2011052366000116 last Friday and haven’t heard back since then. I am running the latest ROS and firmware and still have disconnect issues with NV2. I have had to revert back to Nstreme due to the disconnects on NV2.
I have sent copies of logs, registration table, and support output files from both AP and Clients. I know that you said you can’t reproduce it but you have a lot of end users having these same issues in both 2.4 and 5.8 both with PTP and PTMP with all different types of radio cards “including your own”. There are far too many end users with this issue for it to be “user error”.
I had hoped and expected NV2 to be more robust that 802.11 and Nstreme but so far that is not the case in our experience.
I have a few links in NV2 that have saved me from interference…
There have been one or two links where the environment has not allowed NV2 to work at all..
Even the link tweaked and tweaked to no avail.. I have alos seen that in my case im so use to using nstreame everywhere that in a difficult situation where nv2 nstreame seems to not be stable as on my other links, I find 802.11 on 5.XX has had some surprising results…! Stability and performance not acheived for me in other ROS versions.. I have two links that where very unstable in the 900Mhz. Tried every other option in the past with version 3.xx and 4.xx. Popped in 5.xx to use TDMA and still not stable. Turned on 802.11 standard no nstreme and both damn links are almost rock solid.!
Just saying that environment sometimes just overpowers all the options available…
