I had read a number of posts on nv2 and freq spacing when colocating multiple aps on a tower. I have read that you should be almost 100Mhz apart is this actually something that should be done? We are using for the most part R52Hn dual chain cards with KP Performance 5GHz 120 degree sectors. By coincidence we are spaced 100 or so MHz apart right now but we are adding more sectors and I want to know if we have to space that far or not.
We see great performance with NV2 and have been for 6 months running it everywhere with sectors of 40ish CPE.
Any input would be appreciated on freq and also firmware versions for best performance etc from others is always nice to hear.
Another consideration is the frequency response of the AP, there is no point in trying to move to a frequency outside its power band for example AP with spec for 5.4 - 5.7 and going to 5.1 you could find very high loss outside the power band,
As mentioned RF shielding, check with frequency scan and if there is co-location signal below -30 you may need to move or modify like I did to prevent disconnects http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=49835&hilit=rx%2Ftx+rx+bandwidth&start=0
