Can I bond two different ISPs (DSL, cable) into a active-backup? If I can, awesome, but my next problem is I have only one Ethernet cable running to where the ISPs modems are (really it comes down to the fact that I don’t want to run a second drop). Is it possible to put each ISP on a vlan and trunk them to the RB750GL and still use an active-backup bonding scheme? None of the ISPs are currently providing static IPs. I would need to also have a PPPoE interface for the DSL connection.

I did play a little bit with my personal equipment (very similar setup) and I was able to get public IPs via this setup to the 750GL. But when I created the bonded interface it never seemed to work how I expected it to work. If I disconnected the Ethernet out of the primary modem. I’d have to release the DHCP client on the bonded interface for it to fail over to the backup ISP.
