This is a little bit offtopic, but I have no better place to ask. I need to increase TX power for some of my clients. Of course, most of them use Windows machines and most of them have Atheros based PCI cards, mainly TP-Link 551G (cheap but quite good card). It’s easy to tweak power in Mikrotik, but original Windows driver for TP-Link has no options like that. It is a little bit modified genuine Atheros driver. In other hand, genuine Atheros driver, Atheros Client Utility 3.1.3.5 can control power up to 100mW, but not more than that. This card can do 22dBm under Mikrotik and now I am wondering is it possible to do the same in Windows? Maybe something to do in registry or something like that.
