Older Kindle canniot see Wi-Fi 6 network

I’ve just got as new hAP ax2 for home and all working well except my ten year old (!) Kindle can’t even see the 2.4GHz AX network. If I change the band from 2GHz AX to 2GHz N it works. As this is the only device that appears to be having trouble with and it rarely needs internet access, I’m tempted to connect it to my mobile hotspot when required.

But thought I’d ask here if there is a solution? My first thought was a virtual interface but realised that wouldn’t work as the band is tied, quite logically, to the parent which I want as AX.

Try disabling wpa3 and/or management frame protection.
