I have the LTE package installed properly
Screen Shot 2017-08-05 at 03.27.01.png
But it doesn’t show on interfaces
Screen Shot 2017-08-05 at 03.26.50.png
Any ideas on how to configure this modem ?
When i plug it on my Windows PC it’s first detect as USB STORAGE and i have to eject it so the modem starts working
Maybe i should execute something like that (eject) from RouterOS ?

Hi, if it’s a Modem only you can First Go to ip dhcp Client and add dhcp Client on this lte Modem if it Get ip over it then you Are ready to Go, if under the dhcp Client there is no Interface then you Need to Go to ppp and add ppp Client so it goes to Show you ppp Client under USB Port and here Need to put you sim Card Pin and sometime to adjust your Apn and User and pass giving from your SIM Card Provider. Best regard

Problem is that the device is not even recognized as a valid interface (port)

As you can see “Port” is empty

Put it in a Linux machine and see what it looks like and if you can get it to work.
If so, you might be able to get support in a future RouterOS version by sending a supout.rif file to support@mikrotik.com

Remember: there is no generic 4G support, only the devices on the official list will surely work, and this one is not on it!

I’ve put my device on a Linux machine, here’s the output for both “lshw” and “lsusb”

I’ve sent a support request to support@mikrotik.com with my “supout.rif” and they added support for the Olicard 500.
It’s available on the latest “6.41rc11 (Release candidate)”.

Thanks everyone !

brunoeco do you know if this modem works with ipv6 ?

Thanks

I’m not sure @ivanfm, on the interface status list there’s only the ipv4 address, and when i go to “IPv6/Addresses” tab it doesn’t list my ppp modem interface.
I’ve also tried to add a IPv6/DHCP Client pointing to the modem ppp interface but there’s no lease.

Any other tests i could make ?

For ppp you should enable ipv6 in the ppp profile selected in the ppp connection.

Look this :

https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/3G_configuration_with_Tele2
https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:PPP_AAA#User_Profiles

If your provider gives PD you should configure PD.

Seems there’s no IPv6 available. It is enabled on the DEFAULT profile, and i even tried changing it to REQUIRED, no difference.

Are you sure your mobile provider offers IPv6? Over here, none of them do. In other countries, some do and some don’t.
