OmniTek 5.8

Hi,

In 27 KM RADIUS Area if i put 27 Omnitek as a AP-Bridge will that affect the penetration ??
penetration will affect network ??
Which is the best Mikrotik CPE i can put which gives me very stable output ??
My plan to give 5.8 CPE to each customer & running network on NV2 & NSTREAM.
I dont want to put some big mast on any one home or office so i plan for 27 Omnitek , so is that good idea or how it is ??

Suggest best solution

Nishit

bad idea

Suggest me how it is bad idea , what i have to make changes in to it ?? All my omnitek is connected with FIber optic as a uplink

omnitek = omnitik?

OmniTek 5.8 = OmniTIK UPA-5HnD

To 6km two omnitik canceled on the same channel. How do you put 27 AP so that each had its own channel? Use sectors.

Hello

I am not going to use my own tower, I am leasing from other so more equipment i put , more rent i have to pay, so i plan for OmniTek , also i like to know that i am planning for frequency like as below

4825
5120
5350
5480
5580
5670
5825

So will that kind is it worked ??

Please suggest best solution for the same, also i dont want to make more height at customer homes/offices

Hello

Any one can response please ??

Also what is actual throughput Mikrotik Support & how many maximum CPE i can connect to the Omnitek 5.8 ?? I want to run network with NV2& Nstream

Please advice…

If you plan to use the OmniTiks as repeaters (i.e., backhaul), they will all have to be on the same channel, most likely using bridged or meshed WDS. This can be done, but it will be very inefficient and susceptible to noise. Much better to lay out your backhaul network to use dedicated point-to-point links–directional antennas on various channels. Maybe the last hops could use an OmniTik in a point-to-multipoint configuration with SXT/Sextants for CPE, but once you start aggregating traffic, point-to-point backhaul will give you much better performance.

my all Omnitek 5.8 back houl is on fiber optics, but i want to know how much bandwidth Omnitek can caters and if i use multiple omnitek does it affect the network regarding penetration ??

Nishit

± 70Mbit with distance 750m.

does it affect penetration ?? also Mbps is real throughput ??

I have 6 OmniTiks on 2km radius area chanels 5650-5700 there are set on 40Mhz channel width no problems

Hello

Thanks for reply can you please share me your best config of omnitek if you dont have any issue also are you running over NV2 or how it is ?

NT

How many customers are connected on that 6 Omni ?? also how much bandwidth is running on it ??

What is CPE you are using ??

SXT for CPE
10-15 costumers per OmniTik
I see clients downloading with 35-40mbits
when I do btest it can go +70mbits with nv2

This is today daily graph from one of my OmniTik
daily.gif
And pls its not OmniTek 5.8 its OmniTik and 5.8 stands for Mikrotik ROs Ver.

Thank you for reply, can you please share some config which you follow , as well how about your environment for 5.8 penetration ?? can you suggest me best config which we need to take care to run customer very stable ??

There is noting to configure just set Omnitik as a AP Bridge SXT as a station
Set Omnitik wireless protocol=nv2 (or nstreme), all clients set wireless protocol=any
everything else to default because hire we have distance from clients to AP about 50-400m

Depend what u want to use PPoE, static route, DHCP etc.. how to set SXT read miktrotik wiki
about environment for 5.8 penetration or 5-6Ghz if u have tree or wall there will be problem
keep in mind if the distance is <500m if u have Line of Sight from Every Client to AP almost u will never have problems
