Nope. The only way to climb there without the laptop is to climb there with the PoE injector + extractor pair and a short patch cable in your pocket, connect the RJ-45 socket at the extractor to the installed cable and the plug to ether2, connect the RJ-45 socket at the injector to ether1 using the patch cable, and connect the barrel plug to the barrel socket. But it then takes another up and down journey to restore the original connection once you fix the configuration.
Or connect a wireless client to the wireless interface from some remote point.
