Few days ago I upgraded to OS 5.21 and firmware 3.0
Omnitik became slow and after few hours I lost it.
Now when I plug the Poe, it does not beep/boot , but the led is on.
I heard I can recover it somehow.It’s not yet fried !!..
Do i need to use netinstall ? i do not have any usb serial cable, how can I recover it? demounting and opening the plastic enclosure perhaps?

Have you tried with RESETING the hardware ??
Inside the device is a reset button. Hold the button, apply power, release the button after some 10 seconds. Software will be reset:
If complete reinstall should be needed, hold the button for some 30 seconds before releasing, and device will enter Netinstall mode. Then launch Netinstall in your PC and it will detect the Netinstall server on your router.
unofrtunately nothing happens , after 10 or 30 seconds..
I open netinstall client and nothing happens…
did you connect cable from port 1 directly to your PC? netinstall must be running on the same network, and the windows pc must have all firewall/antivirus programs disabled, and running with administrator privileges

How can I connect cable from port 1 to my PC ? If I do that how can I switch on the Omnitik?I used a PoE and connected white cable into PC.

Yes I did plug it into PC and set Ip4 to : 172.18.1.5 , same subnet of crashed Omnitik.
I run Netinstall program and kept reset button for 30 seconds, but nothing is popping up…

Yes i did, but unfortunately no progress.
In fact when I switch the Omnitik , the board does not even beep…
Should I change the Ip perhaps…
Do you have any other suggestion?

If you have anather interface in your computer you must disable it (for example wifi card)
You can have only one card enabled at the same time if you usage netinstaler
