Omnitik ESD protection

Before we always used RB493 in metal cases, now we use for smaller sites the omnitik.

With the omnitik the port with cable going to the bottom of the tower goes broken more frequenly than like with the RB493.
(Ether link is up, 100mbit , only no data comming true, even with no cable connected i can some times give a link-up)

Is there something diffirent in the ethernet design between a omnitik and a RB493 ?

or is it the grounding of the 493 board that makes the difference ?

Do you use shielded cable and connectors. Do you have Omnitik grounding? What device connected on other side of the cable?

We always use outdoor FTP cable with shielded connectors …
we also use shielded POE inserters and the other side is mostly a 951.

How to ground the omnitik on the tower?

We also can use POE injectors with ESD protection and with a good grounding solution …
I will look for a better Poe injector today …
