Hello guys, I would like to ask you if this is possible or if any of you have had a similar experience.
There is a glass building where possible clients have internet needs and called me (I own a small WISP). 500 meters away (aprox 1500ft) I have a node and could install a omnitik AP. The question is this: Would it work at that distance (full line of sight) a link made behind a glass window pointing directly to de AP using a RB/SXT 16dBi?

depends on what type of glass is used in the building, but 500m should not be the problem
I am interested in how this turns out. I have had bad experiences with indoor units. Even overpowered, 16dBi panel antennas, half mile line of sight, still have random drop outs.
Customer doesn’t notice it unless the weather is bad, but my logs are full of disconnects/reconnects as long as the link is idle. Outdoor unit in the same location gets -60dB.
I just took 3 indoor units out last weekend.
I will post results as soon as I get some tests done
