OmniTik UPA: PoE auto-on does not detect RB1100

I just purchased a used RB1100. The OmniTik UPA that I set up to test boards, does not send power to the 1100 when poe-out=auto-on. If I change it to poe-out=forced-on, it works. Is this normal? Either way, it would be good if someone would update this table in the Wiki accordingly.

The RB1100 power consumption are not sufficently covered by OmniTik…

When I set the UPA to poe-out=forced-on, the 1100 powers up fine.

Yes, power up but wait when the usage of system go to max…

that is the reason why RB1100 is not on the list. Using RB750UP or Omnitik UPA as the power source for that router is not allowing to use it to the fullest. And when you plug in an additional wire in RB1100 and it just goes dark is not an option.

One little answer for curiousity, please:

It “not recognize” / “recognize” RB1100 from PoE resistance?

Thanks.

Test on locally available routers was a success. RB1100 was powered up by OmniTik UPA with auto on setting. Omnitik was at latest RouterOS

Thanks for the answer.
