hi i’m experienced a strange problem while using omnitik. We used SX-HG as AP and Omnitiks as clients for the wireless link of 1 km and 2 kms respectively. In each client side we have fixed a Megapixel IP camera. The signal strengths are 70/72 and 74/76 and CCQ is almost above 80% for both links. The problem i encountered is the video streaming is very slow. my doubt is whether the omnitiks are not intended for video applications or some other problems.
The OmniTik are intended to create a link, not to check what data are inside the link.
ya what u said is absolutely right. but my question is do omnitiks supports for video application specifically IP surveillance as omnis are the only option is my client side.
I use 4 OmniTik on water tower (47m), one RB1100 as switch and hotspot provider, and 23 ptmp sxt lite 5 for video surveillance, with HikVison Cameras (20 x 1080p, 1 Dome, 2 720p). Each point have also one hotspot RB411AH+R52nM.
The swith used for link ptmp, camera and hotspot, are one RB750UP.
I use two SXT-Gigabit for link the two OmniTik (150Mbit/s, 100Mb ethernet are not sufficent) to DVR on security office.
And one metal for provide Internet to RB1100
