one box routerboard and adsl modem

Hello,
I have ready many thread about this but I was not able to find a real solution.

The problem is this (and I see many other people shares it): I need a solution with mikrotik router and an adsl modem in one box.

This because:

  • only one psu, so less things can broke;
  • many boxes (and cables), many things that customer can touch or broke (I have many bar/pub customers without dedicated space);
  • with ipoa/“rfc1483 routed” separated modem means I cannot put public ip address on routerboard
  • routerboards have watchdogs, adsl modem do not have watchdogs

So ,considering that Mikrotik does not want to make routerboard with integrated adsl modem nor wants to support usb adsl modems, can you give me some suggestions to solve my problem?

I am thinking about a poe solution for modem but I would like to know if someone has already built something to solve this problem.

i was looking for the same thing i’ve made a lot of testing , but there is no way if provider as DSLAM with rfc1483routed

in my lab i have a zyxel ethernet adsl dslam, with rfc1483 bridged and with a bridge connected on the MT works perfect.
