I’ve a strange problem that has come to light recently, it might be after the upgrade to version 6.41.2 but I cant confirm that.
Clients can no longer get ip address etc. from one vlan in our second building, but works fine in my office with the Microtik router and the Unifi Ap behind me however if I walk to our second building, connected to the same SSID the internet connection drops because I cannot get a ipaddress.
As i said this was working fine until recently, I’m pretty sure it’s not the AP’s because if I change the vlan ID on the SSID’s around the one that wasnt working starts working and visa versa. Im pretty sure the cable is fine because If I remove the offending vlan ID everything works fine, so I’m back to my microtik router. I have tried rolling back to my backup before the upgrade, but the problem still persists. Can anyone help direct me where to look. I’ve been banging my head against this for 2 days!
I have 2 Wan connections and 2 Vlan’s, vlan 100 and vlan 200 each are attached to a Wan connection.
ether 1 = wan 1 vlan 100
ether 2 = wan 2 vlan 200
I also have a number of unifi AP’s around our two buildings (the buildings are only 10m apart and connected by underground ethernet cable).
These AP’s have 3 SSID’s :
SSID a - Vlan 100,
SSID b - vlan 200
SSID c - no vlan
