I have a Routerboard 1100AHx2 and am having a problem with a single domain right now, namely zendesk.com
From the router terminal, a traceroute just gives me complete blanks. Ping’s give timeouts. All other sites seem to work fine.
When I hook up my internet connection straight to my laptop, I can reach the site just fine, so it seems to be a block of some sort in the router. I didn’t install anything to block the site specifically myself. Am I missing something? Is it some kind of flood protection gone haywire?
Probably your network configuration is incorrect.
The address for that domain is 192.161.154.1 so it is “close” to 192.168.x.x commonly used for local networks.
When you have misconfigured the netmask for your network or in one of the firewall rules, you can easily get such errors.
Thank you, wrong configuration of a temporary network which was needed for a piece of equipment with a static ip in the 192.168.1 range was indeed the problem. Solved now. Thanks again!
