One Userman control all MT's on my wlan? Is it possible?

Im busy building a user wireless group which will allow people to connect to my wifi and share data etc.

Im using wireless + radius to protect the users.

What i want to do if i want to controll all routers from one userman. So if i add user xx:xx:xx:xx:xx one my MT userman then that person should be able to connect to all the other MT on my wifi.

All the wifi’s have the same SSID and address.

At the moment i have to log into each mikrotik userman and add each user. Would be nice if i could control all the MT’s on my system from one userman.

Goeie more Kameelperd!

I’m doing this and it works very well. I have a number of hotspots and all are linked back to a single userman. No problems at all.

Kan jy dalk se hoe? Moet ek die ander routers ook add by die een router se routers?

For the benefit of our non Afrikaans speakers, I’ll explain this in English.

Go into Userman.
Click on Routers, then click on Add.
Give your next machine a name, enter it’s IP address. This is the trick. This must be the IP address that traffic is coming from, from that router. If your radio card to the client is 192.168.1.1 and your backhaul card’s IP address is 192.168.10.1 then use 192.168.10.1 - I have yet to work out how to do this using ADSL, but I suspect it would be necessary to set up a VPN back to the Userman.
Enter your shared secret and leave the log events as the default settings, then add the router.

Go to Winbox, click on Radius and click on + to add a new Radius client
Tick the box next to Hotspot and then enter the IP address of your Userman, followed by the shared secret.
Click on OK to add it and then click on Incoming and make sure there’s no checkmark next to “Radius Accept”.
That’s about it.

I just followed the Wiki step by when I set my first one up and then figured the second one out from there.

The biggest pain is getting the IP addresses right.

Dankie ek het dit reggekry.

Mooi Man!
