One way audio between VLAN subnets using UDP Audio

This is a little hard to explain, but her it goes.

We have a 450G running 5.11 RouterOS, ports 2-5 are grouped in to a Bridge, and I have
vlans attached to that (5 = voice, 11, 22 for the work benches). These are trunked
to a Dell 3548P switch.

Routing works fine between all subnets using TCP. However when I want to use
an IP phone either on the default network (bridge) or on one of the other vlans 11 or 22,
I get audio that can travel to vlan 5, but not back out. However, this sometimes
“just works” at times.

The phones are Iwatsu Icon series, UDP ports used are 50002/50003 from the phone side
connecting to the same ports with another phone. They connect peer to peer if the same
type of phone.

When it is not working correctly, I run Torch on the 450 and notice that the audio
is being sent from a phone on vlan 5 but also shows it using port UDP/2005 as
well as being on vlan 49157?

I have a screen shot attached, if you need me to run specific test to help root
the issue or provide more information I can do that. This is important to figure
out for us as we use Mikrotik routers for our customers as well.

Hi,

Did you find solution for this issue? I have very similar problem.

No I have not, I have been unable to work on this problem since I posted about it. I don’t
know if it is unique to my environment or an actual router configuration issue. I had
tried this with a different router (750g) and same results.

What type of phones are you using at your location and is your network similar to mine?

Perhaps we can work this out together if we have more info to pinpoint the issue.
