Good Day All,
I have been trying to resolve a issue for some time now and I have run out of options/ solutions for this problem, I installed a RB Hex Lite for a Hotspot solution which also connects to the local network on which the local PABX is connected to. The problem we have is that the sip phones all register but we have one way speech on all of them, I have disabled sip/h323 helpers, done IP Bindings and Walled garden for all the phones but to no avail. When I disable the hotspot server all the phones register and work 100% without any issues. I think it might be something in the Firewall filter rules/Firewall Nat rules but don’t quite know where to start looking to resolve this issue. The support tech for the pabx said that it seems like the RTP port are being intercepted by the Hotspot, which should be sent to the DSP Card of the Pabx (Voice Encoder). I will be testing throughout the week by trying to disable the filter rules 1 by 1 and then the NAT rules until I found the culprit breaking the speech.
Herewith the basic breakdown of the network
PABX → SWITCH
SIP PHONES → MIKROTIK PORTS 2-4
WIRELESS AP’S → SWITCH
SWITCH->MIKROTIK PORT 5
MIKROTIK CONFIGURED AS FOLLOWS:
PORT 1-> INTERNET(WAN)
PORT 2-4 LAN (SLAVES OF PORT 5)
PORT 5 → HOTSPOT SETUP ON THIS PORT WITH LOCAL LAN BYPASSED ON IP BINDING
IP CONFIG:
HOTSPOT PORT 5 10.0.0.254/24
LAN PORT 5 192.168.2.1/24
PABX 192.168.2.254/24
PABX VOICE ENCODER IP:192.168.2.253/24
SIP PHONES: 192.168.2.100-192.168.2.105
WIRELESS AP’S: 192.168.2.200-192.168.2.210
ZOIPER PHONES: 192.168.2.50-192.168.2.56
SHOULD ANY FURTHER INFO BE NEEDED PLEASE DON’T HESITATE TO ASK.
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED
THANK YOU
