My OnePlus 8 is unable to do USB Tethering with my Mikrotik routers.
I created a video to demo this USB Tethering doesn’t work on OnePlus Phones. In the same video, I demonstrate the correct behavior of a number of Samsung Phones.
If anyone figures out a solution please share.
Use one of those Samsung Phones
Have you tried updating your Mikrotik to the latest rOS7.1betaX. That worked for me with my motorola Gpower
put on the right place (not on RouterOS)

you know than at the world exist dozen of other competitor routers?

probably the problem is not the MikroTik routerboard but you are unable to use your device
I might end up having to do that actually or buy me a dongle 
Wouldn't it be simpler and better for everyone if OnePlus fixed the problem?

Why should I try another brand of router if I am happy with Mikrotik?

If you are associated with OnePlus in any way it would really help if you can contribute to help address the problem. IMO everyone stands to benefit. If you notice that I am doing something wrong please share the solution and I will, after having verified the suggestion, share an update so that others can benefit. Have a great day

The reason I need this solution is because I travel to Italy a lot and am planning to get illiad or ho-mobile (with their 120Gb per month).
My daily driver is this oneplus and I have a Mikrotik hAP ac lite at hand. Carrying another phone is a complication I would like to avoid (different chargers / sim sizes / inconvenience of multiple phones).
Well I am happy to report that after I updated to the beta firmware and my OnePlus is working.
