ONU not connected through PPPOE

Hello everyone.
I recently followed the basic PPPoE server instructions found in the Mikrotik wiki site.
1st problem: it works when I connect a laptop through PPPoE, I get internet but I get no IP address nor other addresses.
2nd problem: : the output is going through an OLT, the OLT reads the ONUs fine but when I put the pppoe information and settings in the ONU, it gives me a ( connect failed ) message.

is there something I’m missing?

Is any of your devices a Mikrotik device? And what is its role in whole setup?

It could be that no local IP address is defined in the ppp profile.

In that case the pppoe will connect but wont get any ip address
