Open RDP Port Mikrotik 3 WAN Connections

Hi All,

I have mikrotik router os, I have 3 WAN Connection

WAN 1 : 192.168.1.1
WAN 2 : 192.168.4.1
WAN 3 : 60.1.1.1 (public static)
LAN : 192.168.2.1

Internet is working fine for my clients on the LAN, I have a box which I need to RDP (3389) in from outside, I created some rules by following the mikrotik wiki ( I can post screenshots if required), I am using winbox to configure it.

For some reason, here is whats happening :
Sometimes I am able to 3389 RDP to my box from outside but it will disconnect after a while and won’t connect at all, sometimes it won’t just connect.

I have disabled the firewall / av on the box itself (RDP BOX), when I check Winbox interface section, it’s showing it is receiving packets which indicates that the request is coming to the WAN interface.

I have created the RDP RULE for all 3 WAN connections (3 separate rules).

Q 1 : Can some one guide me as to how can I open ports on my internal network so that I can have access from outside ?
Q 2 : Can someone guide me as to how can I load-balance all 3 WANs?

I see that it is forwarding / natting outgoing traffic fine and there is no glitch in browsing as such, its just that I am stuck when trying to access any box from outside.

will be grateful for your help

How are you routing outbound with the 3 wan connections? one default route or three?

are these wan connections using dhcp or statically programmed?

Hi DocTech.,

Well, the person who set this up for me said it automatically picks up the wan connection, and adds route.

When I use winbox and click on IP > Firewall Filters , I see masquerade listed next to each WAN connection.

These WAN connections are statically assigned with a different private ip on each WAN interface, they have a DSL / Cable router in front of them with a Public IP.

Will be grateful for your support !
I need to be able to seamlessly open ports for our servers behind mikrotik.

Thanks
