I’m using OpenVPN client on MikroTik and all works just fine but i’m not sure how much connection attempts MikroTik utilizes. There is no configuration for this feature in Winbox. I just do afraid that if I loose my ISP link for long this OpenVPN client may stop to try and after ISP recovery I may find myself without valuable tunnel.
