OpenVPN Issue Iphone

Hello,

I have a issue while I want to connect with my iphone/ipad to the OpenVPN server of the mikrotik.

After a long search with certificate, I can generate and I can connect with Windows OpenVPN client to my mikrotik server.

When I try with my iphone/ipad to my microtik openvpn server, I get always the following issue.

While he pulling the settings from the server, it go wrong,

I always get the message:

TUN_SETUP_FAILED option_error : only topology ‘subnet’ and ‘net30’ supoorted [ERR].

In also try into my OpenVPN server to setup the SUBNET to /30, but still the same issue, the windows client work perfect.

The Mikrotik OpenVPN server give always topology [p2p] instead off subnet or NET30.

Please I look many hours to solved it, but I can`t find it.

Why do you not use the l2tp protocol, it does not require any software on the client side and is well documented.

Hi Hello,

L2TP/IPSec is not a possible way to make a VPN connection, because my L2TP server don`t work after NAT.
My Internet provider give my a External Fix IP that have a router to a FIX intranet address.

All the ports will be forwarded to that internal IP address, this IP address is my WAN side of my mikrotik.

When I try this with my Iphone/Ipad device in my internal network it work perfect, but not outside.

And of course I open alle the ports in the firewall settings of my Mikrotik (1701,500,4500 UDP)

I used the last software RouterOs version.

The L2TP server dont work very well, and dont give IP address that I setup into the L2TP server, only internal it work.

Also I read that L2TP/IpSec server only will work for 1 connection, not for more then 1 !
