OpenVPN Lan-Lan link does not route traffic after upgrade to 6.42.3

Hi Community,

for more than 5 years now i have multiple lan-lan links concentrated at an rb2011uas. Everythink worked fine until i upgraded the firmeware from 6.38.1 to 6.42.3. OpenVPN is still connecting and i can ping from each routerboard (rb750gl at client side) to the other. But from one network behind the routerboard to the other it is not possible to establish an connection anymore.

lan1 ----- rb2011 ==== internet ==== rb750 ----- lan2

I can ping from rb2011 to rb750 and likewise but not from lan1 to lan2. the routing so far is properly configured and the firewalling too.

As i told above. the configuration was running until i just upgraded to 6.42.3. I didnt change any config.

somehow i am also not able to roll back to 6.38.

how to bring it up again with 6.42.3?

any ideas what changed in 6.42.3 which makes the routing to fail?

Okay,

after an sweating 8hours of trial and error. i figured out that the the routing was pushed via ppp user config under [ /ppp secrets ].

here the gateway of the route is pushed as an interface (ovpn-in1). after i setup a static routing via ip adress to the remote adress of the tunnel end point. everything was runing fine again.

so somehow it seems that routing via interfaces has changed in 6.42.3.
