openvpn routing issue

i have a router with public ips so shouldnt need nat or anything..

i can connect with openvpn and get one of my public ipss.

burt pc can only ping itself not even the router or any other addresses on the public subnet (13 address block)

any idea what could be going on.. i think maybe the subnet is wrong because in address pool you just specify range not a subnet and in alternative secret profile you just specify server and remote ip again without subnet so it is assigning the ip on the full /24 subnet instead of the /28 it should be?

You don’t need IP Address Prefix because VPN use PTP Addressing. When you add user on PPP you should input local address and remote address. Local Address will be used by your router (VPN Server) and remote Address will be used by Laptop (VPN Client).

When your OVPN is already established try to ping IP that you used in local address from VPN Client.

thanks i already did that and as i said i can conenct fine and get the address i am supposed to.. 173.x.x.114 server is 173.x.x.113

i can ping myself at 113 but cannot ping anyhting else including my mail server on 173.x,x.125
