operating voltage and board temperature

I have an RB912 which is operating on its original 24V adapter connected to a sector antenna , its board temperature is reaching 50C with only about 8 subscribers , each one consuming about 512Kb/s

I’ve read that RB912’s operating voltage range is from 8-30VDC
which mean that its orginal operating voltage is 8VDC and it has a tolerance to work for voltages up to 30V.
when it is getting more than 8V, I assume the extra voltage is regulated to get reduced to 8VDC
the regulation process may cause an extra heating.

although it has been mentioned that the board will operate for 8-30VDC

I’ve tried to connected 9V and 12V adapters . the RB operates for few minutes and get reboot continously

it seems that practically the RB will only work on 24V or above ( up to 30VDC)

I’ve reduced the CPU frequency from 600 to 400MHZ but there is no change in the temp
do you have any advice to reduce the temp?

Can confirm, the RB 912 does run rather hot. Although we only use 24Volt. Personally i believe this is coming from the radio. Normally the more power, the more heat. Had a similar problem with watchdog. Replaced RB912 replaced with another RB912. Same problem. Eventually i found that the switch the RB 912 was connected to was actually rebooting. Happened very fast, but caused watchdog to reboot RB912 every so often. Replaced switch, every thing back to normal.
