Hi guys, I have a client who have various sellers, they connect, with RDP, to the server, but windows server 2003 don’t handle the mapped printers correctly, so I want an orientation about what kind of vpn I should use, to use the printer through the vpn.
The case is: a salesperson connect to the server using RDP through the VPN and the printer of the salesperson is, trough the vpn, installed on the server. The salesperson travels to other citys and need to print on it’s local printer.
There is a way to redirect RDP printers in Server 2003 but it requires the EXACT same printer driver to be on host and server . 2008 and 2008R2 eliminate this with Terminal Services EasyPrint.
Thanks for the reply.
The problem is that I can’t use server above server 2003 and the new printer’s are problematic about drivers and server 2003.
