what is the purpose of this setting? The default is 2minutes.
to have a faster convergence time, should I lower this?
I used NBMA since I have lot of wireless ptp bridges.

What this does is it tells how often to send hello messages to neighbors which are in “down” state. This will limit broadcast traffic but can do what you suggest and take a little longer for full convergence. I set mine to 20 seconds and have no problems. Feel free to play with the number and see what works for your specific scenario. One thing to note though is, it is important to set it at the same time on both sides to avoid a mismatch in advertisements.
