We are starting to introduce OSPF into our (mainly static routed) network to ease the intro of MPLS. We have quite a long OSPF chain of routers that are a mix of different router boards. However, when we introduced an RB600 into the chain the downstream router stopped playing! We could log via winbox into that router fine, but not any beyond it (though we could ping the units beyond it fine). Customers beyond it could not get on to the Internet either - or rather they could get one or two pages up but were not able to browse those sites. Switch OSPF off on the RB600 and all came back (the main routes were there as statics also). Switch it back on and the problem came back.
When I get a moment I will set up another RB600 in the “lab” (the living room floor of my flat!!) and see if I can replicate the issue. Just wondered if anyone else had OSPF successfully running through RB600s and if so what version of RouterOS that was with (we had it on v3.10 and also tried v3.11).
