hi all
How can I use ospf for balance band and failover?
i need TCP band this links, now i use bonding but considerable amount of tcp bandwidth drops in mikrotik bonding config. for example bandwidth between wireless links is 120Mbs but after bonding , band is decreasing to 80Mbs.
all device this senario are mikrotik. radioes= netmetal, routers=1200
plz help me to ospf configuration this senario.
tnx .

It’s pretty straightforward. You’re looking for Equal Cost Multipathing. https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:IP/Route#Multipath_.28ECMP.29_routes
Just make sure that the routes have the same cost as they move through the environment and you’ll see multiple entries in the routing table. Router OS takes care of it from their. Cisco does ECMP and Unequal CMP if that works better for you.
tnx dear for reply.
this network all user connect to internet with pppoe connection.now between wireless links ,i run Two days ago ospf and eoip tunnel The amount of cost is equally in all settings
.(I think it might be better bgp & mpls)Sometimes for down eoipes because looping , maybe duplicate ip in network . and running port security in user side port on cisco switches(switches are l2/3500) .
why when both link are up Send a link to be made and received from the other link?
good luck.
I think you are asking why the same link isn’t used to receive traffic that it was sent on.
Two reasons. Either costing is different and causing asymmetrical routing. Alternatively the costs are equal and it is being actively load balanced. I’d have to see a detailed diagram with the necessary interface and routing configurations to determine what is happening.
tnx idlemind .
all radios are bridged.
on mikrotik routers ospf + eoip are running. and all ports on switches configured port security , Except for input internet port That is configured access port.all user for connect to internet use pppoe connection.

Ospf can duplicate the bandwidth?

Sorry. Ignore my other questi9n but I have one radio link that give me 40 mbps now we want to give more bandwidth so bonding cannot work to us so I want to find abother way to double bandwidth using 2 radio links
load balancing over wireless link have problems, example pppoe connection!
i run ospf for use two links ,send over 1 link and receive over other link and failover, this config working fine for me.
