This problem has started appearing after I upgraded from 3.x to 4.x and continues with 5.x
Namely, I’m working with 10.0.0.0/8 and have 10 rb433s and 2 rb133s in a wireless network.
After half a day or sometimes a full day, sometimes a few hours by default routes are lost on all routers.
I then have to manually go to my gateway (I have two gateways, one is a backup) and change in instance “redistribute default route” from “if installed as type 1” to “if installed as type 2” and then back to “if installed as type 1” and then the default route appears again on all routers.
The other issue is that when the default route is lost the backup doesn’t take over routing - the default route from the backup router doesn’t appear.
At first I thought it was the “broadcast” issue so I changed all routers to “nbma”, installed neighbors etc etc. But the problem is still here.
Then I read somewhere that sometimes it helps with OSPF to have loopback interfaces and addresses on routers so I added those too but still the problem remains.
On some links I’m using nstreme and on some I am not. Most of my links are on 5ghz and I get nice throughputs (nice being above 10mbps one-way when testing with bandwidth test - it’s VERY crowded here and 10mbps is ok for now).
Can anyone (from support) help me out here?
