OSPF Multi-area without virtual links.

Hi all,

Can anyone deploy an OSPF multi-area (3 or more consecutive areas) topology without virtual links (virtual links has a bug since 3.30 routing-test)?
is it possible with EoIP or VPLS tunnels?

I think it is possible with IPIP or GRE tunnels.
