OSPF with redundant Routers

Hi all,

i have the following setup:

Redundant
CiscoStack

R1 — R2
\ /
80 GHz
|
80 GHz
/
R3 — R4
| |
Redundant
CiscoStack

R1 - R4 are CCR2004 runnig OSPF.
R1 and R2 have a DA cable (routed) and R3/4 also.
Between an 80 GHz 1+1 Radio Link. On each site 2 bridged(!) interfaces connected to R1/2 and on the other site connected to R3/4.
So all interfaces from R1-R4 on the radio site are bridged.

On Top of OSPF i have running MPLS with VPLS tunnels.

So if one Router on one site will fail i have no problem.

Is that an good idea ? Or have everyone a better solution ?

It sounds like a decent solution. All four routers is, in other words, on the same Layer 2 network?

All four is present on /routing ospf neighbour print?
And you are running R(STP) over the VPLS tunnels?

yes all 4 routers on the wireless site are on the same layer 2 network. that will be a problem, isn’t it ?

which network-type should i use on the wireless site ? ptmp ?

i think horizon will be eliminate the loop for the bridge network through vpls.

PTMP has issues on MikroTik

I’d suggest you create a separate VLAN interface for every router to router link over wireless and then use point-to-point type. You’ll have far less issues
