Hi to all,

We have a problem with a few edge routers with OSPF. Our network is configured with 40 routers and found problems on 3 or 4. We don’t know, every few days this routers have more than 1000 or 2000 state changes a lot of messages on log how: “Ignoring Link State Acknowledgement packet: wrong peer state state=2-way”.

  • We configure OSPF to Network Type:, “broadcast”, “point to point” or PtMP it depends from network.
  • Use different value to time:
  • Retransmit Interval: 5s.
  • Transmit Delay: 1s.
  • Hello Interval: 4s.
  • Router Dead Interval: 5s.

This value are ok?


Use the same Area on all routers.


Anyone have an idea?
