hi, I’ve installed TheDude V4.0 B3 on a test machine, and imported my backup to it.I’ve noticed that the outages panel is missing from the console, while is available in the web interface (without entries)!
Did I do something wrong?
Also, another remark, that my devices are almost all with one or more services are down (while they are actually up and reachable from the new server), and if I did reprobe for that service it is up for a while, then down again.
You probably already know this stuff but just to be certain… The outages panel moved to under services panel on a tab. Clearing outages on this panel doesn’t work. You can remove outages for each map though.
I have had lots of false positive issues but changing the polling time to 2 minutes seems like it has eliminated them. I will be experimenting with a faster polling after I am completely certain false positives are gone.
The default for a device is once it has failed it will stay down for 5 minutes. If you want to change this behavior you have to modify every probe.
Just FYI, I started getting false positives again after increasing the work that is being done by probes… So I probably won’t lower the polling time. I will probably back off some of the work probes are doing.
