Outdoor Surge Protector?

Does anyone use outdoor lightning/surge protector units these days?

Long ago we used the model sold for Canopy (now Cambium). Looks like they have a current model that supports GigE:

Ubiquity also sells a similar device.

I’m doing “one last residential install” soon and wondering whether to try installing one of these, or some alternative.
Curious what folks here are doing.

(fwiw I am an EE and have a pretty good understanding of proper lightning protection – not looking to engage in a debate over that, just curious about this specific equipment question, thanks)

We used to use hyperlink stuff, it looks well engineered at least from my newbie eyes.

Thanks for the pointer. I assume these are compatible with MT “non af” GigE POE.
