Hi
2 question, I wanted to use the inbuild update function
/system packages update
but it seems to want to use a upgrade.mikrotik.com with resolves to quite a few IP addresses, which doesn’t really work for as I don’t want to open up so many ip address!
can I make routeros use a proxy if so how.
If not how do i go about upgrading my routeros box (its a VM).
Also how to I add packages, I want to add NTP to a couple of boxes I have installed.
Now I am guessing I can do 1 of 2 things
- download the packages from the web site and then FTP/scp them over (does it make a difference !)
- download the latest ISO and install again but tell it to not kill the config.
I don’t like 2, could turn out bad ! I don’t like 1 as its very manual…
I would really like to get internet access via a proxy !
Alex
EDIT:
I have downloaded all the packages and scp them up and then did a reload, which installed all the packages.
Still would be nice to have a proxy setup or to be able to point it to an internal http or ftp site ..
