I have found the package I need from Winbox System/Packages for my hAP AC2 but all packages, except RouterOS and defaullt wireless, are greyed out. Others do not download/install after selected/applied/reboot. Am I doing something wrong? I have downloaded the package for AC wireless separately but don’t know how to manually install it, I’m new to all this. Thanks in advance.
Hello gar. Sorry that the first time we see you there is a major upset in progress [ New MikroTik website refers] in that Mikrotik have taken away easy access to packages. Whether your problem arises from that or it is independent is not clear, but unfortunately, I can’t point you to the resources, although there are some work-arounds in that thread.
This is ac2, has only 16mb flash. Look how much free space you have. Look at the log, it should tell you why packages didn't install after a reboot.
If you want to replace wireless with wifi-qcom-ac, the you need to uninstall “wireless” first and then install wifi-qcom-ac package.
