Packet forwarding (like AP 2000)

I’m new on mikrotik. We are testing this software and trying to migrate ours APs 2000 currently in use.
Many features we can configure without problems in mikrotik but packet forwarding exactly like AP 2000 we don’t.
Can someone give me a light how to do a packet forwarding like AP 2000 do?

Perhaps if you could tell me how the AP 2000 does it, or what is so special that you want to achieve? I don’t know the AP2000.

Or someone else can help?

Mr. Meis, from AP 2000 Manual:

Packet Forwarding
The Packet Forwarding feature enables you to redirect traffic generated by wireless clients that are all associated to
the same AP to a single MAC address. This filters wireless traffic without burdening the AP and provides additional
security by limiting potential destinations or by routing the traffic directly to a firewall. You can redirect to a specific port
(Ethernet or WDS) or allow the bridge’s learning process (and the forwarding table entry for the selected MAC
address) to determine the optimal port.
NOTE
The gateway to which traffic will be redirected should be node on the Ethernet network. It should not be a
wireless client.

wouldn’t this be the same as doing MAC-NAT or brouting?

Check the doc’s - http://www.mikrotik.com/docs/ros/2.9/interface/bridge

I tend to agree with Wildbill…

Thanks for replies… I will try this option.
