we are using two RB 532A for a backhaul link. i get an overall throughput of 15 mbit/s. no firewall and only static routing. the cpu is most of the day near 100%, i was hoping by turning off connection tracking i get the CPU down and throughput up. have ping times of usually 7-15ms. if i turn off connection tracking my ping times go up to 250ms and i have about 30% packet loss. what could be the reason for that and how can i avoid that problem.
I’ve a very similar problem on a rb532a where I have a large number of packet loss without the 100% of CPU…I have also the Nstream dual activated and connection tracking (disabling it I have some problem with mikrotik dns-caching).
we do NOT have packet loss if connection tracking is enable, only if i disable it. also i have no DNS service running. but i have nstream activated. would that need connection tracking ?
